Expert Guidance, Lifelong Growth

Speech & Drama Programme

In partnership with Acts of Life Singapore, a pioneer in arts education with over 30 years of experience, Wharton Preschool offers one of our most popular enrichment programmes — English Speech & Drama. Recognised by the National Arts Council (NAC), the curriculum is developed by experts in early childhood education and performance.

Through guided storytelling, role-play, and performance, children learn to express themselves with clarity, confidence, and imagination. These sessions not only strengthen communication and social skills but also nurture empathy, teamwork, and creativity.

Beyond the classroom, the programme equips children with the confidence to speak, perform, and connect with others — preparing them for success on stage, in school, and in life.

Art Course

Art Course

With WowART Singapore as our specialist partner, children at Wharton Preschool experience art in its most authentic and inspiring form.

At the N2 level, children begin their artistic journey through imagination and expression. They are introduced to a vibrant world of colours and mediums, experimenting with materials such as oil pastels, soft pastels, and clay. These hands-on experiences nurture creativity, strengthen fine motor skills, and build focus, while offering joyful opportunities for self-expression — sometimes even leading to their very first masterpieces.

By K1, your child will be taking on more advanced programmes such as WOWART’s Art Alive course, where they engage with cultural and natural themes through 2D, 3D, and mixed-media projects. This approach not only enriches creativity but also develops critical and analytical thinking skills.

Beyond artistic techniques, art has been shown to enhance language development, boost confidence, and foster emotional resilience. It cultivates empathy, social awareness, and a deeper appreciation of the world around them — empowering children to grow as expressive, confident, and well-rounded global citizens.

Robotics & Coding S.T.E.M. Programme

Through hands-on kits and simple logic tasks, children learn to build, code, and solve problems while having fun. These sessions introduce early coding concepts, foster digital awareness, and strengthen decision-making skills in an age-appropriate, exploratory environment.

Our programme is based on the ARTec Innovator Academy Early Years STEM curriculum, a globally recognised framework adopted in over 40 countries and celebrated with numerous design and toy awards.

To bring learning to life, our students are encouraged to participate in the annual National Robotics Competition (NRC). In 2023, our children won 1st place for Best Robot Performance, and in 2025, they earned three accolades: 1st place for Best Robot Performance, Best ARTEC Robot Design, and Best ARTEC Costume. These outstanding achievements reflect our children’s creativity, focus, and resilience, which are carefully cultivated through our Montessori approach.

Wushu

Wushu

In partnership with Wufang Singapore, Wharton Preschool offers a structured Wushu programme thoughtfully designed for young learners. Wufang is widely recognised for its team of professional coaches, many of whom are accomplished national athletes, and for its dedication to nurturing discipline, character, and holistic growth through martial arts. Its founder, Vincent Ng — world Wushu champion, three-time SEA Games gold medallist, and a celebrated icon of Singapore — has established Wufang as a trusted leader in the field.

Through this programme, children not only develop discipline, coordination, and body control, but also strengthen their bones, muscles, and internal vitality. Beyond the physical, Wushu cultivates essential life skills: guided practice builds strength, flexibility, agility, stamina, and confidence, while instilling respect, perseverance, and resilience. These qualities extend far beyond the studio, shaping character and supporting a child’s growth into a balanced, capable individual.

With Wufang’s expertise, every session becomes more than a martial arts class — it is an experience that blends physical fitness, cultural appreciation, and moral development. For children who wish to continue their Wushu journey, the programme also offers a valuable pathway, as Wushu is recognised as a popular option for Direct School Admission (DSA) in Singapore.

Early Intervention Programme

Mind & Manus (M+M) is our school-based Early Intervention programme designed to support neurodivergent children who benefit from more personalised guidance.

Integrating cognitive development (“Mind”) and hands-on learning (“Manus”), the programme combines the Montessori method with modern, evidence-based strategies to build essential life skills, social-emotional regulation, academic foundations, and motor development.

With individualised learning plans in a calm, structured environment, Mind and Manus supports each child’s growth while easing transitions into mainstream settings, offering meaningful progress for children and peace of mind for parents.

Currently Available in Wharton Preschool Sengkang.

A Holistic Enrichment Journey for Your Child

Aligned with ECDA’s Early Years Development Framework (EYDF), our carefully curated enrichment classes are designed to nurture growth across the four key developmental domains. Children strengthen their social and emotional skills through art, develop cognitive abilities through robotics and STEM, build communication and language through speech and drama, and enhance physical development through Wushu.

This approach encourages children to follow their natural curiosities and explore diverse, confidence-building activities. These opportunities inspire creativity, build motivation, and support the development of well-rounded, resilient learners.

Answering Your Questions

1) Can I select more than one enrichment for my child?

Yes! Many of our children participate in multiple enrichment classes, allowing them to explore different interests and develop a wide range of skills. Our enrichment schedule is thoughtfully designed so that classes do not overlap, giving your child the opportunity to attend each session without conflict. Choosing more than one programme can help your child discover new talents, build confidence, and enjoy a richer, more well-rounded learning experience.

2) Which enrichment programmes are suitable for my child’s age?

Our enrichment programmes are thoughtfully structured to be age-appropriate, ensuring that each child can fully engage and benefit from the experience. The Speech & Drama programme is available for children from N1 to K2, while Art classes are offered from N2 onwards. Our Robotics programme is designed for K1 and K2 children, providing a developmentally suitable introduction to coding and STEM concepts. This arrangement allows every child to explore and learn at a level that matches their abilities and interests.

People: A Nurturing Community That Shapes Growth

Children don’t learn in isolation. They are shaped by the people around them—at home, in school, and within the wider community.

At Wharton, our teachers guide with respect and intention. Each educator is trained to observe, support, and challenge your child in ways that honour his individuality. Low teacher-child ratios allow for meaningful relationships and attentive care.

We also work in close partnership with parents to keep you informed and involved in your child’s development through open communication and collaboration.

Beyond school and home, learning continues through real-world experiences. Whether it’s a visit to the local police post, fire station, or community centre, your child learns through interactions with the broader community. These everyday heroes, from police officers and firefighters to community staff, play a role in teaching values, sparking curiosity, and expanding your child’s understanding of the world.

It’s this ecosystem of people—teachers, parents, and community—that supports your child’s growth in a truly holistic way.

Programme: Personalised Learning Within a Proven Framework

At Wharton, we tailor learning experiences to your child’s pace, interests, and readiness.

Each child follows an Individualised Learning Plan designed around his Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD)—the optimal range for learning. Whether your child shows early interest in phonics or aptitude in numeracy, our teachers are trained to adapt and respond with timely, guided instruction. With small class sizes, our educators can give each child the attention they need to thrive and grow.

Place: Classrooms Designed for Exploration and Focus

Our learning environments are carefully curated to balance structure with freedom.

Following the principles of the Montessori method, each classroom is prepared to support hands-on learning, purposeful movement, and independent discovery. Materials are carefully selected and displayed strategically to spark curiosity, create a harmonious classroom environment, and encourage self-motivation.

From child-sized furniture to open shelves, every detail in the classroom is designed to empower your child with a sense of ownership over his learning journey. When your child feels calm, safe, and respected, he is more likely to explore independently, focus for longer periods, and build resilience through meaningful work.

This sense of agency lays the foundation for confidence, adaptability, and a lifelong love of learning.

“Education is not something which the teacher does, but a natural process that develops spontaneously in the human being.” — Maria Montessori

As Wesley graduates from Wharton preschool, our hearts are filled with gratitude and warmth. From the day he joined N2 as the youngest child in his class, we have witnessed his incredible journey of growth and happiness under your care. Despite living far from the school and having to take an early bus every day, Wesley has never once said he didn’t want to go to Wharton. His love for Wharton and the welcoming environment you’ve created has made every early morning worth it.

We deeply appreciate the support and encouragement you have given Wesley throughout his time at Wharton. While he can be mischievous and playful, sometimes even getting into small conflicts with his peers, your unique and thoughtful ways of guiding him have been remarkable. The way you nurture and respect each child’s individuality, uncovering their strengths and fostering their potential, truly reflects Wharton’s exceptional educational philosophy.

The activities and programs you’ve designed have been a source of endless joy and learning for Wesley. From exploring nature and engaging in diverse courses to celebrating festive occasions and participating in school events, Wesley has experienced a vibrant and meaningful preschool life. The careful bridging between preschool and primary education has also equipped him with valuable knowledge and skills, ensuring a smooth transition to the next chapter of his learning journey.

As parents, we have also cherished the opportunities to connect with the school through events like Family Day, holiday celebrations, and the graduation ceremony. These moments of interaction have strengthened our trust and partnership with the school, making us feel deeply involved in Wesley’s growth and education.

Thank you for the love, patience, and dedication you have shown not only to Wesley but to every child at Wharton. Wesley’s three years here have been an unforgettable chapter filled with laughter, learning, and discovery. Wharton preschool will always hold a special place in our hearts.
